Royal Manufactory of Sèvres Porcelain luncheon set with a beautiful blue background, decorated with polychrome landscapes painted in reserve by Jean-Charles Develly, on the rim friezes of leaves, palms and rectangular reserves with the titles of the scenes in gold below. It is composed of: - A 1st size oval tray depicting the "Château de Tilly sur Seules" with a crew passing in front. - A Régnier round teapot, plain and covered, depicting on one side "Aqueducs de Buc" with a scene of cows and sheep emerging from a sheepfold in the foreground, and on the other side "Rambouillet" in the background, the château with a scene of a governess and children riding a capricious donkey, a dog barking all around. - A Régnier plain covered sugar jar depicting on one side "Aqueducs de Marly" with a colin-maillard scene and on the other side "Montlhéry" with a pastoral scene of cows, goats and cowherd near a lively picnic. - A plain Régnier cream jug depicting the "Parc de St. Cloud" with a cow being milked in the foreground and milk-drinking children with their dog. - Two plain Régnier chocolate cups and saucers, one depicting "Vincennes" with a scene of a groundhog showman in front of the children, the parents in the background, the château in the distance, the other depicting "Paris" from a panoramic viewpoint, with a foreground scene of walkers observing the city through a spyglass, near a draughtswoman seated along the railing. Gold fillet on the rim, gold teapot spout embellished with palms, foliage and a star. Sugar pot handle in the shape of a woman's head in amatized gold, cream pot handle in the shape of a ram's head in amatized gold. Pieces marked on the reverse with the blue stamp of the Manufacture royale de Sèvres under Louis XVIII, dated in green February 17, 18 for the painting and in gold March 18, 18 for the gilding. The lunch is presented in its original green calfskin case inlaid with gold foliage frieze. 19th century, 1818. Box with wear and repairs
