Virgin and Child bust in wood carved in the round, formerly silvered and gilded. Mary presents the Child on her left side; she wears a veil revealing the long, wavy locks of her hair flowing down to her shoulders; she is dressed in a belted gown and a mantle, one flap of which returns to the front, forming broken, angular folds close to the body; the Child's face is blessing, with full cheeks and a high, rounded forehead surmounted by a tuft of curly hair. Octagonal base resting on eight ball feet. Northern Italy or Spain, 16th century Total height 38.5 cm (slight accidents, missing fingers on Mary's right hand)
