Large boxwood Christ carved in the round and polychromed. Head bent over the right shoulder with wavy hair and short beard, closed eyes and half-open mouth, perizonium tied on the right hip, bent legs with internal rotation and superimposed feet; beautiful facial expression, finely sculpted beard, ribcage with protruding ribs, gnarled legs. Italy, after a model by Guglielmo della Porta (Porlezza, circa 1515- Rome, 1577), circa 1580 H. 51.5 cm (minor accidents, including a few missing fingers)
