Intaglio depicting a winged Victory, standing in a chariot, holding a whip in her left hand and driving a two-horse carriage with the other; ring adorned with fleurons and pearls. Intaglio: Roman period Mounting: 19th century H. 1.6 cm - Total length 2 cm - Gross weight: 6.0 g The Cabinet des Médailles holds a jasper intaglio dating from the 1st/3rd century, showing Helios standing on his quadriga, with the same stylization in the depiction of horses and chariot (inv. Blanchet. 28, fig.).
