In chased and gilded bronze, with a subject of Venus and Love or Day and Night, the violin-shaped case underlined by scrolls and foliate foliage, the white enamelled dial in the center of the composition, the chariot of Love at the top against a background of sunbeams evoking Dawn, Venus covered with a drapery symbolizing Night at the bottom. H: 105 - L: 64 cm Wear, one element detached, pendulum, keys and gong missing, as well as perhaps the putto's bow and arrows on the shock absorber.
