Rectangular, in violet wood and rosewood veneer, the top, encircled by a copper moulding, is sheathed in black leather. It features three drawers, the central one slightly recessed, the other two boxed, and identical simulated drawers on the visitor's side. Rocaille ornamentation in chased and gilded bronze, leafy falls highlighting the curves of the legs, mirrors on the short sides, staples decorating the side drawers, keyholes, fixed handles, sabots.
