Deformation to the sword
Based on the silver original intended for the King, this full-length figure of Henri de Navarre, founder of the Bourbon dynasty, was inspired by a painting by François Bunel at Versailles (n°inv. MV 3282). A highly successful propaganda figure for the Bourbon dynasty, it was produced in various sizes and materials, including silver, marble and bronze.
