AUBARET family. Set of 6 L.A.S., 1897-1900, addressed to Thérèse Aubaret née Granier; 37 pages in various formats, envelopes, qqs headers and vignettes. Interesting correspondence, notably from the United States. May 5, 1897, letter from his daughter Léontine on the fire at the Bazar de la Charité.1899-1900, long letters from his son Antoine (1870-1906?) and his wife Louise, from New York, describing skyscrapers and trains on metal bridges (sketch); Washington, on the exploits of Admiral Dewey, and report of a reception at the White House by President Mac Kinley; Chicago, with Lake Michigan and its teeming population... Enclosed: 2 fascicules of speeches delivered in Poitiers, for the marriages of Auguste Véron and Léonine Aubaret and that of Count Antoine Aubaret and Louise Siry. Poitiers 1891 and Paris 1898; piece performed at Cécile Aubaret's wedding to the Comte du Pavillon (1899); ms note on Admiral Auguste-Joseph Veron.
