Supplication to Thomas de Saint-Laurent, Captain of Staff, requesting that a search be made for L'Estafette, of which no trace has been found on the Spanish coast: it is feared that "the Arabs of the coasts" of Africa have taken the crew "into slavery inland"... - [1849]. Manuscript of a prospectus for a "Plomb de sonde pour la sûreté de la navigation, inventé par M. Le Coëntre", with beautiful captioned pen drawing, the text extolling the merits of the device.A set of manuscripts and notes by historian Maurice Descamps (more than 150 pages in various formats) is appended: lecture on La dernière course des flibustiers (1900), drafts of studies on the Cartagena and Saint-Domingue expeditions, notes on reading and research on the navy, privateers, etc.
