Manuscript of geometry, containing 21 propositions (5 to 26), most illustrated with one or more diagrams, and some followed by the statement of a "corollary", or an example. - De latitude en general gives definitions: "The latitude of a place on land or sea is the distance from the terrestrial equator, ordinarily called the equinoctial line, this latitude is always equal in degrees to the distance from the zenith, to the celestial equator, and to the elevation of the pole above the horison"... At the end of the notebook Monteil has copied an extract from a writing on maritime distances by "Mr Fresier".
