In-folio full red chagrin (9 x 29 cm), historiated binding with polychrome plate by Lenègre, spine ribbed, decorated boxes and Maltese Cross repeated in the form of a coat of arms with the Crusader sword on the decoration of the 1st plate, gilt edges, cold on the second plate, plates with bevelled edges. Gilt edges, 468pp, 22 steel plates, 288 woodcuts. Ex. in good condition, minor spotting to headpieces, corners of boards to tail, fresh copy internally free of foxing.
