SAUVAGE (Sylvain) - STERNE (Laurence). Voyage sentimental en France et en France. Paris, chez Creuzevault, 1942. 2 vol. in-8, green full morocco, smooth spine, gilt title throughout, gilt head, green half-maroquin band cover, lined slipcase, (sign. M. Moura in Lyon). Illustrated by Sylvain Sauvage with 78 charming color woodcuts by Pierre Bouchet, including one on the cover, a frontispiece, a title vignette and 75 in-text. Limited edition of 550 numbered copies on Arches vellum. This is one of the 50 first copies (no. 11) containing a color suite and a black suite on Japon (together in the 2nd vol.) and an ORIGINAL SIGNED Sketch on tracing paper, (pasted on the front. In the 1st vol.). A very fine copy, perfectly bound by Michel Moura (MOF, 2007).
