Four bronze and four lead objects, mostly Roman, 2nd - 10th century
1) Bronze miniature statuette of Mercury with winged hat, purse and caduceus. Legs broken off at the bottom. Roman, 2nd - 3rd century, preserved length 4.5 cm. 2) Bronze locking pin of a writing tablet. Roman, 1st - 3rd century, length 4.3 cm. 3) Bronze applique in the shape of a lion. Roman, 2nd - 3rd century, length 2.5 cm. 4 - 7) Four lead heads, Roman, 2nd - 3rd century, height 2.3 - 5.7 cm. 8) Byzantine bronze thimble with punched and incised decoration, 8th - 10th century, height 2.5 cm.
