Deer in the Snow, oil/board, German or Czech, 20th century
Oil on canvas. Depiction of a deer lying in the snow with magnificent antlers and finely detailed fur. Signed lower right, with an overpainted inscription in the left corner. In a stuccoed gilded wooden strip frame (somewhat chipped). Inscribed "...Josef (Meyer?) Anno 197..." on the remnants of the label on the reverse. Overall dimensions 45 x 53 cm.
