Georg Schmid (1866 - ?), Bavarian Impressions, German, 1st half of the 20th century Watercolor or gouache on paper. Mainly Munich vedute and atmospheric mountain landscapes. Signed "Georg Schmid", some copies dated 1933-44. Dimensions 23 x 31 cm to 28 x 37 cm. In addition seven finely colored etchings with sunny vedutas of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Four of them signed "Paul Sollmann" (1886 - 1950), the remaining three "W. Schacht" (1872 - 1951). Dimensions 25 x 27 cm to 38 x 26 cm. Paul Sollmann (1886 - 1950) was a German painter and graphic artist specializing in architecture and landscape painting. The well-traveled artist studied in Rome, Paris and Munich. His iconic depictions of Rothenburg o.d. Tauber can be found on numerous historical postcards. Wilhelm Schacht (1872 - 1951) was a German landscape painter who studied in Leipzig and Munich. Schacht was one of the co-founders of the artists' association "Rothenburger Künstlerbund". Condition: II
