F. Reinhardt the Elder and M. Wetzel-Schubert, German expressionist graphics (3 etchings, 12 lithographs, , 1st half of the 20th century Three fine etchings with depictions of the war, signed and dated "Fz. Reinhardt 1915". Also two signed lithographs by the artist with battle scenes, inscribed "Frauenraub" and "Kampf" (dated "28") on the verso. Each in passepartout with hanging loop. Image dimensions approx. 25 x 32 cm and 40 x 30 cm respectively. With ten expressive lithographs with motifs of death and despair, signed "M. Wetzel-Schubert", some dated (21-22). Image dimensions approx. 22 x 15 cm to 50 x 39 cm. Franz Reinhardt (1881 - 1946) was a Munich painter with a particular fondness for mythological and religious scenes. After training at the academy (with F. v. Stuck, among others), he joined the Munich Secession. Today, his works can be found in the Bavarian State Painting Collection and the Lenbachhaus, among others. Marei Wetzel-Schubert (1890 - 1983) was a painter, graphic artist and sculptor from Poland. She studied in Gdansk and Berlin and is represented with several works in the Berlin National Gallery and the Städtisches Kunsthaus zu Bielefeld, among others. Condition: II
