A bronze elk figure on an amber stand, Hendrik Scholter, circa 1930
Bronze, patinated. Naturalistic depiction of an elk on an oval plinth. This is mounted on a wooden base set with amber. Amber with inclusions. Amber base inscribed "H.SCHOLTER" in engraving. Bronze rubbed, amber with small chips. Dimensions 18 x 25 (elk) and 19.5 x 27 x 12 cm (total).
