The Adoration of the Shepherds on bronze plaque, German/Flemish, 16th century
Bronze plaque in fine relief in the shape of a rounded rectangle, dark patina (slightly rubbed). Depiction of Mary kneeling before the cradle, with Joseph and adoring shepherds. Above their heads, an angel holds the banner inscribed with "Gloria in excelsis Deo". Dimensions 9.5 x 8.5 cm.
