A French book-shaped casket, 19th century
Rectangular casket in the shape of four books in a row with leather-covered and gold-stamped bindings. The hinged lid opens in the middle, stamped "Made in France / breveté SGDG" inside. A secret drawer in the lowest "book". Rubbed in places on the edges, somewhat stained. Dimensions 20 x 32.5 x 27 cm.
