A German rock crystal seal, circa 1900
Cylindrical seal of clear, finely cut rock crystal. Ribbon bows and garlands over a surrounding ornament of stylized leaves. One end with cut monogram "SR", the second with family coat of arms (wheat grasses in a shield). One edge slightly chipped. In original velvet-lined case with maker's mark "Gebr. Nathan kgl. Hoflieferanten Hamburg". Length 7.5 cm, diameter 1.9 cm.
