A French or northern Italian finely inlaid wooden casket, late 18th century
Finely crafted casket made of walnut and fruitwood. The slightly conical sides with inlaid vine decoration. The flat lid with numerous finely inlaid and painted depictions of people, animals and everyday objects in the "art pauvre" style. Iron clasp with push button, finely forged iron carrying handle. Dimensions 7 x 24 x 10 cm.
