A French or Benelux brass mounted casket, 19th century Wooden casket with marquetry decoration, the lid with a portrait of an officer, the sides decorated with sphinxes and tendrils. The edges each with four brass reinforcements in the shape of lions, which end in four claw feet, plus reinforcing strips with egg-bar-like decoration. Lined with silk on the inside. Dimensions 35 x 23 x 15 cm. Condition: II - III
