A wooden Yoruba ancestor figure, Nigeria
Patinated wood. Figure standing on short legs with arms at the sides and pointed breasts. The head with a high coiffure set in blue on the back. At the neck and belly a chain of horn discs and glass tubes. Inscribed adhesive label "Schnitzmeister Igbuke" on the underside. Height 32 cm.
