Two Congolese Nkisi magic figurines of the Songye, 20th century
Magic figurines carved from wood. One depicts a hermaphrodite, the body decorated with iron studs and leg beads. The other a standing male figure with copper fittings as a headdress and a textile loincloth. Each somewhat rubbed. Height 31 cm and 34 cm.
