Three Kenyan/Gabonese masks, Maasai/Kota/Chokwe or Dan
A mbulu-ngulu guardian figure of the Kota people with ornamentally embossed nickel silver on the front. Iron eyes, rivet decoration of oxidized bronze. Traces of use on the wooden base, restored. The sheet metal surfaces stained. Length 60 cm. Decorative male mask of the Maasai made of ebony. Metallic eyelet on the head. Very good condition. Length 64 cm. Comes with an unknown mask (possibly Chokwe or Dan) made of wood with nickel silver inlays or fittings and a shell-embroidered cloth hat (elastic band for attaching to the head). Signs of age. Length 67 cm.
