A pewter-mounted faience tankard with architectual setting, Dorotheenthal, circa 1730
Faience, pewter mounting. Minimally domed wall painted in colorful hot-fire colors: richly planted architectural landscape. Domed, gadrooned pewter lid with a resurrection scene in high relief. Three unmarked pewter marks inside. Handle with manganese-colored lines and mounting, decorated with ribbon decoration. Foot with pewter mount (missing parts). Dimensions 28.5 x 16.8 x 13.8 cm.
