An Iraqi Islamic bronze mortar, 12th - 14th century
Bronze with strong greenish-brownish age patina. Cylindrical body with wide flared stand and lip. Engraved cartouches with knot decoration around the upper rim. Comes with a pestle with engraved decoration. Height 12 cm, weight 4.2 kg.
