A pewter jug, Salzburg, circa 1700
Conical body, the strap handle at the base with a sculpted mascaron. Engraved monogram "IHM" to the front. Hinged lid with strap handle. Oak spigot and base rosette on the inside. At the base of the handle the combined city and master's mark of the court pewterer Johann Kreuzer, who can be traced to Salzburg from 1689. Slightly dented, small repairs to the hinge attachments. Height 22.5 cm.
