A Bavarian pewter jug, circa 1700
Slightly conical jug with a wide flared foot, the wall monogrammed "LDW". Hinged lid with strap handle, inside with oak spigot and molded base rosette. Struck town mark of Bad Tölz at the base of the handle with master's mark of Benedict Tischer, who can be traced there from 1680 - 1720. Height 25.5 cm.
