A Scandinavian brass candlestick, late 17th century
Chased brass candlestick with rich punched decoration. Stepped base, the shaft with a strong nodus (deformed) ending in a wide drip pan with boss decoration. The spout incomplete. Circumferential votive inscription "O mater dei memento mei 17" on the base. Height 38.5 cm.
