A German Baroque front "zappler" clock, 18th century
Sheet iron clock case painted with peonies, dated "1776". Dial with Roman numerals and minute scale and two brass hands. Verge escapement, weight drive, strike on bell, front zapper. Functionality not tested. The painting slightly rubbed, the iron parts rusty. Dimensions 27 x 18.5 cm.
