A Russian feast icon, circa 1900
Wooden panel with two sponki on the reverse. Kovcheg, tempera on chalk ground, gilded background. Margins with engraved ornaments. The Ascension and Resurrection of Christ in the center, surrounded by twelve high feasts of the Orthodox church year. Dimensions 31.3 x 26.5 cm.
