A Saudi Arabian Wahabite djambia, 1st half of the 20th century
Double-edged blade, slightly ridged on both sides (somewhat stained), presumably of wootz-Damascus. Silver-framed horn grip decorated with pearl bands and two riveted silver coins on the obverse side. All-silver scabbard with filigree and pearl band decoration on the obverse side. Attached textile belt with geometric silver laurel embroidery on the obverse side. Dagger and scabbard do not belong together. Dagger length 47.5 cm.
