A Turkmen ornament for a bridle and two bridles, circa 1900
Forehead ornament made of silver and brass, richly decorated with partly engraved carnelians and numerous pendants with bells. Sewn onto a simple textile backing. Length 47 cm. Comes with two leather bridles, covered with sheet silver and with iron bits, one with an attached rein. Length from browband to bit approx. 31 and 40 cm respectively. Comes with a riding whip with a lightly embroidered, white whip strap and a textile-covered shaft with a simple nickel-silver mount. Length of the shaft 38 cm.
