A Persian gold-damascened quaddarra, 19th century
The broad, double-edged blade cut with deep, offset fullers on both sides. Floral décor lavishly inlaid in gold on the front. A small calligraphic cartouche at the root of the blade. The grip scales in dark buffalo horn with two gold-damascened grip rivets on the front, the grip frames inlaid in gold. Length 57.5 cm.
