Two Indian leather shields, 19th century
Curved leather shield with a slightly flared rim, four iron shield bosses, padding on the inside and two textile grip straps. Leather somewhat dry, cracks in places. Diameter 53 cm. Another shield of lacquered leather, with four tinned shield bosses, padding on the inside and two textile grip straps. Lacquered surface with chips to the edge of the shield, six perforations on one side. Diameter 37 cm.
