A pair of Indian decorative battle axes, 20th century
Figural and florally carved, strongly convex axe blades with brass inlays, axe heads with a square butt point and three further striking spikes on the back, two of which are merely inserted in pagoda form (one missing). Studded wooden quillons with simple cylindrical pommel caps. Individual parts loosened, one axe handle broken. Length 78 cm each.
