A West African nayin (crossbow)
Simple, one-piece wooden bow with plant fiber string, slender, slightly profiled column with long trigger. Wood with drying cracks in places. Length 112 cm.
Crossbows were used in large parts of West Africa by the Pangwe, Yoruba, Mandinka and other peoples.
