A torture chair, modern reproduction in the style of the 17th century
Solid chair in sturdy, completely blackened softwood construction. Seat, backrest and armrests with short wooden spikes over the entire surface. Screwed frame on the lower front to clamp the lower legs. Shackles made of somewhat pitted or rusty iron. Two riveted eyelets on each side for sliding carrying bars through (for the purpose of displaying the condemned man). Enclosed two cardboard explanatory panels. Dimensions 180 x 65 x 64 cm.
