A Swiss dagger, historicism in the style of the 16th century Double-edged blade, lightly ridged on both sides, etched with a trophy and hunter as well as the inscription "Vivat Es Lebe der Fürst von Neuwied und Seine Jägerey". Cast iron grip in rich relief with raised figural ornamentation and vine decoration. Heavy, openwork cast iron scabbard with a battle scene with Landsknechts in relief on both sides and a background of red dyed leather. Blade somewhat abraded, slightly stained. Length 41 cm. Very representative. Condition: II
