A Spanish cavalryman's rapier, 1st half of the 18th century
Sturdy, double-edged blade of rhombic cross-section, old repair to the brass perpendicular at the transition to the quillons. Asymmetrical hilt with strongly curved guard plates on both sides. Straight quillons with knucklebow. Grip with copper ferrule, round iron pommel. Length 94.5 cm.
