A German hunting hanger, 2nd half of the 18th century
Double-edged blade (slightly chiselled) with central rib and central point, etched on both sides with symmetrical scrollwork, trophies, dog and wild boar. Brass hilt with sparse rocaille decoration and copper wire winding. Length 63.5 cm. Cf. H. Westphal, Hirschfänger, Berlin 2015, no. 301.
