A large English target crossbow, 18th century Strong, elegantly curved steel bow (stripped) with a burr on the inside. Newly replaced hemp string. The bow fixed with iron wedges. Slender wooden pillar (stripped) with bolt channel and old iron fittings. Old single-axle lock (intact) with long trigger lever and brass follower. Two rotating rollers on the side (one missing) as attachments for the cocking lever (goat's foot), a square iron tip on the front. Engraved bone inlays newly replaced. Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Bow width 81 cm, total length 107 cm. Condition: II
