A large hand-drawn Prussian uniform plate, circa 1795
Ink and watercolor on paper, partly heightened with gold or silver-grey. A total of 124 rectangular fields with half-length figures in uniform, depicted in pairs, inscribed by hand with regimental name, year of foundation and garrison town. Infantry, artillery, cavalry, at the top the crowned Prussian eagle ("FWR") and trophies. Under bevel cut passepartout and glass, in later golden wooden frame. Typical traces of age and use. Frame dimensions 92 x 70 cm. Representative hand-drawn(!) unique specimen for uniform experts.
