A cuirass M 1855 for cuirassier troopers
Heavy, ridged steel breastplate with brass rivets and maker's signature Chatellerault 1859 on the lower edge. Iron back piece with maker's signature Chatellerault 1862. Original leather waist belt (one half missing) and leather-lined old brass shoulder straps. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age.
