A pallash M 1896 for officers of the cavalry
Heavy, straight single-edged blade, fullered on both sides, with acceptance marks and the etched inscriptions "Le Grand Triomphe / À L. Le Masson" at the base, signed "Coulaux & Cie Klingenthal" on the back. Basket hilt of gilded non-ferrous metal, dark horn grip, fixed complete wire winding. Nickel-plated steel scabbard (traces of rust, dents) with a movable suspension ring. Blade cannot be fully fitted into the scabbard (scabbard deformation). Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Length of the pallasch 104 cm.
