The Surrender of the two Sons of Sultan Tippo, engraved after Henry Singleton by P. J. Laminit, German-English, 1st half of the 19th century Finely colored copper engraving by Paul Jacob Laminit after Henry Singleton's oil painting from ca. 1800, depicting two young men surrendering with dignity, the sons of the absent Sultan Tippo. Inscribed in German and English in the lower margin and dedicated to His Royal Majesty King George III. The upper left corner of the sheet torn off. In a wide wooden strip frame with ebonized corners and eyelet on the reverse, behind glass (slightly rubbed). Overall dimensions 54.5 x 60 cm. Condition: II +
