A Japanese shin gunto, Showa period
Blade shinogi tsukuri, maru gitae, light torii zori, kissaki damaged. Brass habaki. Rough shin gunto mount, smooth brass fuchi, kashira rubbed, tsuka with leather cover over wood. Wooden saya with an obitori and leather cover, signs of age and use. Length K/M 67 cm, total length 96 cm.
Simple, late war manufacture.
