A bicorne and tunic for k.u.k. officials, circa 1900
Beautifully preserved bicorne for the gala uniform of civil state officials made of silky black felt, black grosgrain trim all around, a gold bouillon rose with a gold embroidered double-headed eagle in each of the hat tips. On the sides, a gold braid in civil servant style on a gold-plated button with a crowned double-headed eagle, white silk lining with a gold maker's stamp "Moritz Tiller & Co, Vienna", ochre leather sweatband. Comes with (not matching) a dark blue skirt with shoulder pieces for civil servants, golden buttons and black silk lining (some small defects, old repairs), tailor's label by Wilhelm Beck, Vienna. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age.
