Austrian Association of Engineers and Architects - a presentation box to Wenzel Wojtechowsky, 1908 Polished wooden box in square form, silver-plated (rubbed) plaque on the lid "In memory of the 50-year membership of the Austrian Association of Engineers and Architects Vienna". Certificate of honor of the association "1856 - 1908 - to its member W. Wojtechowsky on the occasion of his more than half-century membership of the association", blind embossed seal and signatures of the chairman and secretary of the association. Under glass in metal frame. Iron lock, key missing. Dimensions 25 x 25 x 10 cm. Wenzel Wojtechowsky (ca. 1830 - 1911), engineer at the k.k. State Railway. The ÖIAV was founded in 1848 as an engineering association and expanded in 1864 to include architects. Since 1872, the association's home has been the Palais Eschenbach in Vienna.
